Verification requires sensitive ownership documents. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we need it, and how it is protected.

What we collect
Applicant details: full name, email address, mobile number with country code, and the delivery address used to dispatch the tag.
Vehicle details: registration number, registration certificate number, brand, model and year of purchase.
Documents you upload: registration certificate, insurance document, and an optional supporting document such as a purchase invoice.
Why we collect it
Documents are used solely to establish whether the applicant is the original owner of the vehicle, and to manufacture and deliver the tag.
Contact details are used to update you on the status of your application and for support.
What is public
Only three things are visible on the public verification page: the registration number, the registered owner name, and the verified status.
Your documents, address, email, mobile number and application history are never published and are not accessible through the public verification lookup.
Storage and access
Uploads are stored in a private document vault that is not publicly readable. Access is limited to the verification team members who need it to review an application.
Applications are held in a database that is not readable by the public interface.
Retention
Verification records are retained for as long as the tag remains active, so that public verification stays meaningful.
Rejected applications and their documents are deleted within 90 days of the decision unless you ask us to keep them for a re-application.
Your choices
You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or ask for deletion of a rejected application by writing to privacy@firsthandluxurycar.com.
Deleting a verified record removes the public verified status for that registration number.
Third parties
We do not sell personal data. We share information only with service providers required to operate the platform and deliver the tag, such as hosting and courier partners.
